Thirst is one of the most comprehensively upgraded Gunboat 57s to hit the market. Hull #007, launched in 2015 in Awlgrip Shell Green over full carbon construction, she carries the Nigel Irens lines that defined the series.

A redesigned steering system, both Yanmar 3JH40 engines replaced (port 2024, starboard 2026), rig repainted in 2025, and a new Doyle Stratis mainsail delivered June 2026. The electrical system incorporates a 720Ah Mastervolt lithium battery bank, 1,600 watts of solar, a Watt & Sea hydrogenerator, and Starlink to name a few.

The fully enclosed cockpit saloon is the heart of the boat — wraparound glazing, a varnished teak dining table seating eight, generous settee seating to port and starboard, and the helm integrated forward with triple B&G displays and all running rigging within reach provides protection offshore, comfort at anchor.

SALOON OVERVIEW

fully enclosed cockpit delivers a rare combination of protection and openness. Wraparound glazing keeps weather at bay while flooding the space with light and water views. Generous seating to port and starboard frames a central dining area, with the helm positioned forward for direct sightlines over the bow. Teak sole throughout.
HELM

Central helm area. Triple B&G multifunction displays sit at the center of a clean, uncluttered console alongside a full suite of sail controls, halyards, sheets, and reefing lines all within reach of the helmsman making this an easy boat to sail. The opening forward windscreen provides direct airflow and access forward when needed.

Looking aft from the helm, the full scale of the cockpit becomes clear. An overhead hatch brings in natural light and ventilation. The layout flows naturally between the dining table, settee seating, and helm, which makes the area functional for offshore passages and equally suited to evenings at anchor.
