Exceptional Performance Cruising Catamaran
Tiger Lily Too is one of the most extraordinary performance cruising catamarans ever built.
A fully custom Gunboat 90 designed by Morrelli & Melvin and built in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010 to the highest possible specification and without compromise. Her all-carbon and Nomex honeycomb construction gives her a displacement-to-length ratio more indicative of an offshore race boat than a cruising yacht, and the Gunboat 90 still stands entirely alone in the marketplace. No other vessel of her size combines this level of structural sophistication, sailing performance, and ocean capability and ability to only draw 5.2ft with her lifting rudders and daggerboards. She is a platform that has simply never been replicated.
From 2019 to 2021, Tiger Lily Too underwent an $11,000,000 major refit and transformation in the USA, one of the most comprehensive ever undertaken on a performance cruising catamaran. Every system was replaced or upgraded by world-leading specialists. The interior layout was reimagined to include a dedicated crew area, transforming the platform into a true superyacht capable of global exploration while providing owners with sumptuous luxury and privacy.
Tiger Lily Too is finished throughout in birch cabinetry with a satin stain finish, Brazilian mahogany floors, and impeccable Italian fabrics and detailing. She accommodates eight guests across three large double walk-around beds, each with its own private en-suite, an extra bunk room perfect for kids or guests, and up to four crew.
Tiger Lily Too is offered to the market in turn-key, step-on superyacht condition.

Tiger Lily Too is built from full carbon, with advanced composite construction throughout.
The hull and deck are vacuum-bagged epoxy over a Nomex aramid honeycomb core, with carbon fiber inner skins and Kevlar outer skins for impact resistance, the same construction philosophy as an offshore race boat, applied to a vessel designed for global cruising.

The topsides are finished in the Awlgrip paint system in a stunning Periwinkle Blue Metallic.
Tiger Lily Too carries a comprehensive and largely new sail wardrobe. The mainsail and solent are 2025 North 3Di Ocean.
The A3 asymmetric was custom-designed by Brian Thompson, one of the world’ s foremost offshore sail racers and designers. All headsails are furling and on external hanging locks
Hall Spars Ultra High Modulus carbon mast with single spreaders, with a Park Avenue carbon boom.
The longeron and crossbeam are Marstrom carbon construction.
In 2025 the mast received a comprehensive service and overhaul, a full repaint to Jet Black, and a series of targeted upgrades improving both performance and ease of handling.
The mast carries a comprehensive suite of hardware selected for high load carrying capacity and reliability, including custom Facnor Furlers, Harken Ti structural blocks, Spinlock clutches and jammers with ceramic jaws, and Sailmon instrumentation units.
Deck hardware is chosen for structural safety and performance at load, with custom titanium halyard leads and a purpose-built jib track system with a 4:1 purchase ratio.
The hydraulic system was designed and built by Marine Hydraulic Consultancy, powering the primary sail controls and bow thrusters from a central power pack. The system is controlled by PLC screens that monitor all aspects of operation.
The rudder bearing assemblies are custom-engineered Grade 2 titanium supplied by Ti64 designed in cooperation with McCollough Yacht Design.
These are purpose-designed for the Gunboat 90, with all bearing surfaces receiving a baked-on lubricious coating to reduce wear. Components include outer and inner races, ball-loading pocket covers, upper and lower keepers, and Grade 5 titanium mounting hardware throughout. The steering system is a Herculeus Titanium and carbon system with full aft- beam-facing titanium and carbon components at the transom. Both rudder bearings and daggerboard bearings were serviced in May 2026.
Nine load pins are interfaced to the Sailmon E4 CPU via Sailmon loadcell boxes.

Rapide is an independent brokerage with a client-first approach. We put your needs before our own, offering honest, unbiased advice and full access to the global market. Our deep technical expertise and hands-on experience allow us to guide you through every step of the process with clarity and precision. It all begins with a personal consultation to understand your goals, followed by a curated selection of yachts that match your specific program. From negotiation to inspection, contracts to delivery, we’re with you all the way.
It all starts with a conversation, so the first step is to pick up the phone and speak with one of our experts. We’ll help you set your budget and define your key requirements, such as size, performance, preferred cruising grounds, and any designers or builders you admire. Your Rapide broker will then curate a shortlist of the best yachts available both on and off the market that align with your goals. We’ll also provide detailed comparisons between brands and insights into individual yachts’ ownership profiles, helping you identify real value. It’s all in the details. From there, we’ll arrange viewings so you can step aboard your top choices and narrow down the right fit. When you’re ready to proceed, we’ll assist with negotiations and contract preparation. Once terms are agreed, sea trials and surveys are scheduled and completed to ensure the yacht meets expectations. From there, we move to acceptance, and you’ll receive expert advice on flagging and insurance while the Rapide team advises during final documentation and the closing process. At that point, the yacht is yours and it’s time to enjoy your new adventure.
The timeline for purchasing a pre-owned yacht typically ranges from 4 to 8 weeks from offer to closing, but this can vary depending on several factors. These include the complexity of due diligence, survey results, financing, the seller’s timeline, and the buyer’s chosen flag state. International transactions involving foreign flags can offer advantages through entities registered in jurisdictions with favorable legal and tax environments. They may also broaden your insurance options by providing access to global markets and underwriters. However, they often require additional steps, which can extend the process by a couple of weeks. If you’re working to a specific deadline, let your Rapide broker know early, and we’ll tailor the process to align with your timeline and navigate any complexities on your behalf.
To complete a sea trial, you’ll typically need the following:
An Accepted Offer
Most sellers will only approve a sea trial after a written offer is accepted and a deposit is placed in escrow. The offer will include a contingency for the sea trial and survey.
Signed Purchase Agreement
A binding agreement outlining the terms, timelines, and contingencies, protecting both buyer and seller throughout the process.
